Visual Basic Resources on the Internet
There are several places on the internet where a developer can find free Visial Basic Technical support and which I have generally found to be more useful than telephone support provided by Microsoft. These places include mailing lists, newsgroups and websites. I have listed some of them here along with the pros and cons of using them.
Visual Basic Mailing Lists:
How to subscribe: To subscribe to this list send email to firstname.lastname@example.org. The message body of the email should be SUBSCRIBE VISBAS-L. The subject of the email doesn't matter.
This list generates about 50+ messages a day so if you subscribe to it you may want to have email from that list automatically directed into a separate folder. If your email program isn't able to filter these messages into a separate folder you may be better of using a newsgroup.
There is also a separate mailing list that cover the Visual Basic/Access topic. You can subcribe to that list by sending email to email@example.com with message SUBSCRIBE VBDATA-L.
